چکیده
Background: The rise in elective CSs, which make about one-third of all is primarily to blame for the Cesarean birth rate. Objective: To assess strength association between transvaginal ultrasonographic measurement lower uterine segment women with prior one CS undergoing a trial vaginal and scar defect at delivery. Patients Methods: A retrospective observational study was conducted Al Ahrar Zagazig Teaching Hospital during period from June 2018 through 2020. thickness measured ultrasonography 60 gravid as (36 week – 40 week) previous VBAC, evaluated Results: Uterine dehiscence found 4 cases (6.7%). There were no rupture. significant correlation grade sonographic LUS using trans-vaginal ultrasound (p value= 0.001).The third trimester (36-40 had relation mode 2.4 mm considered critical cutoff value above safe delivery can be achieved. This derived ROC curve sensitivity, specificity, PPV, NPV 75.0%, 85.7%, 27.3%, 98.0%, respectively. Conclusion: Measurement by TVS seems good screening test its obviously high sensitivity negative predictive value.

Report of A Case of Uterine Rupture in Pregnant Women Without Scar After Vaginal Delivery
Background: Uterine rupture in pregnancy and labour is a fetal complication. Prevalence of uterine rupture in pregnancy in women with no previous uterine scare specially, nulliparous women without any risk is rare. Risk factors of uterine rupture in women with no previous scare are such as trauma, obstetrics maneuvers, high parity, multiple babies and uterotonic agents. Casa Presentation: A 23 ...
متن کاملSonographic measurement of the lower uterine segment thickness: is it truly predictive of uterine rupture?
BACKGROUND Sonographic examination of the lower uterine segment (LUS) has been used to diagnose a uterine defect and to determine the degree of LUS thinning in women with previous Caesarean section. Previous studies have demonstrated that the LUS thickness measured sonographically has a high negative predictive value for uterine rupture, suggesting that a normal LUS thickness predicts a safe tr...
متن کاملA rare case of vaginal delivery after uterine rupture.
Rupture of uterus is a serious obstetric complication. Consequences can be more dangerous if it remains undiagnosed. Spontaneous rupture of a scarred uterus is an uncommon event but it is rare for it to be followed by vaginal delivery and to be diagnosed postpartum period is still rare. We report a case of spontaneous uterine rupture which was followed by a vaginal delivery which was diagnosed ...
متن کاملRupture of the transverse uterine scar after lower segment caesarean section.
THE lengthening list of indications for Caesarean section makes the management of subsequent deliveries a problem which confronts the obstetrician with ever-increasing frequency. Where the original Caesarean section was performed for a non-recurrent indication, subsequent vaginal delivery may reasonably be expected, and it is customary to allow such patients to go into labour. Even where electi...
متن کاملPrediction of scar integrity and vaginal birth after caesarean delivery.
A statistically significant association with uterine rupture during a trial of labour after caesarean delivery was found in at least two studies for the following variables: inter-delivery interval (higher risk with short interval), birth weight (higher risk if 4000 g or over), induction of labour (higher risk), oxytocin dose (higher risk with higher doses), and previous vaginal delivery (lower...
